My Hesitated Buyer (to the tune of "My Funny Valentine")

First off, please don't try to sing these words like the song, My Funny Valentine. ...wait!  You know what if you can sing any part of this blog, or even the sentiment of this blog like My Funny Valentine, post it to our FB wall and I'll send you a $30 gift certificate to AUB of NY, just for the sheer hilarity of it all!  Now back to the blog...

I know who you are my hesitated buyer.  You're the type of person who never really takes a risk.  You're the type of person who always has to look before you leap, and then you still won't leap until you watch someone (who looks just like you), successfully do it first.

But there's another side of you.  The side that even thought about jumping in the first place.  The side that thinks about being bold and spontaneous.  The side that is crying to get out, but then again, you think to yourself,  if that side of you is crying, begging, and pleating, to get out instead of calmly negotiating it's argument, is it even worth listening to at all?

That side of you is always captivated by what you see at AUB of NY!  Captivated by the look of the creations on the table as you walk by, trying to act as if you are not looking.  That side of you is even interested to see who I am.  But then you spot the table with the flashy, not-by-hand, pre-made jewelry and then you other side takes over....

Calculated risk... pre-fabricated... sales pitch.... and you could even become a seller...  How exciting!  (Especially because you know nothing about vending, jewelry, or sales...)  You watch as other ladies go over to buy, you see men, buying jewelry for their significant others.  And some of them didn't even look twice at AUB of NY, so why are you?

Then you slowly turn a heart decision into a head decision, and you walk away from AUB of NY...

You turn from wanting an accessory, to wanting an identity...

And what will happen the next time we meet?  Only time will tell, my hesitated buyer...

Then what is beauty?

Beauty by definition is the opposite of ugly.  So this post is the opposite of my last post but still a public service announcement because some of you out there need to know just how very beautiful you are...

I know some of you need to know how beautiful you are inside.

And just like I said when your inner beauty overwhelms your inside it has no place to go but to seep out from inside and turns your outward appearance into something all together gorgeous!

If you smile at people just because your happy to be alive, it adds to the beauty inside of you.  If you have no problem giving up something to help someone in need, it adds to your inner beauty.  If you are a returner of lost objects, it adds to the beauty of you.  If you can look up at the sky and get a whole new perspective on life, it adds to the beauty of you.  If you can see things from another person's view, it adds beauty inside of you.

Your beauty comes from what you do, not how you look.  What you see on the outside is a combination of all that you do, and the reasons you do it.  If the reasons are beautiful, it is bound to show up on the outside!  Yes, my friend, you are beautiful!  Inside and out!

Hold your head up high, walk tall, because there is something inside of you that no "pretty girl" can ever imitate or take away from you.  There is an inner glow that transcends the latest fashions, that transcends the runway, and the magazine model!  It's true beauty and it only comes from within.

I want you to know that I know I am beautiful inside and out and I hold my head up high and walk tall because I know who I am.  God has made me uniquely beautiful, and wonderfully passionate about life!

That is who Angelique is....

That is AUB!

What makes you SO ugly...

Ok!  So my title got your attention!

Good!  Because some of you out there need to know why you're so ugly.  I don't think you know and this is why you will remain ugly.  So you can think of this as a public service announcement.

I know that there are some of us in the world who are a little more pleasing to the eyes than others.  Or I could say that generically speaking there are some of us who would be considered beautiful on the outside.  Then there are others who just aren't as pleasing to look at as other people may be.  I am not referring to those people.  I am referring to those people who are so ugly on the inside that it transfers to their outward appearance!

It's sad because some of you people who are the ones I am addressing never learn to change....

When you decide you don't want to smile at people who are smiling at you, it adds to the ugly inside of you.  When you decide that some people are beneath you and you can treat them any way you feel like treating them, it adds to the ugly inside of you.  When you think that fat automatically makes a person ugly, that adds to the ugly inside of you.  When you never say anything but you are thinking about all the nasty comments you have for a person, it adds to the ugly inside of you.  When you refuse to give respect where respect is due, that adds to the ugly inside of you.  When you think that you have more rights than your fellow human being, it adds to the ugly in you.

You get the picture!

And when all that ugliness inside has no more room to go it starts to seep out and changes your outward appearance!

Believe me!  It does!

Some of us need to change the way we look at others because the mirror can only show you what you can see, and that is only skin deep.  The real mirror is how you treat other people!    True beauty comes from within and that has always been true.  All that inner beauty comes seeping through and makes your outward appearance look beautiful!

There are some people who will never believe me...because they're one of the ugly ones!
